Who you’re buying from

Inis Escargot, Lisduff, Virginia, Co. Cavan, Ireland. Email info@inisescargot.ie. Buying from this site means you accept these terms.

Orders

An order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we email you to confirm it. If we can’t fulfil an order, for example something is out of stock or a price was listed wrongly, we’ll tell you and refund you in full.

Prices are in euro and shown excluding VAT. VAT at 23% is added at checkout and shown before you pay. Delivery is charged separately and is also shown before you pay.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We take payment when you place the order.

Delivery

• Ireland: flat €9.99.
• United Kingdom: flat €15.
• Local pickup from the farm in Co. Cavan, free.
• We do not currently deliver outside Ireland and United Kingdom.

Fresh escargot is shipped chilled. We’ll agree timing with you where it matters, because it’s fresh food and we’d rather it arrived when you’re there to receive it. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, but if something goes wrong, tell us and we’ll fix it.

Returns

Set out in full in our returns & refunds policy, including your 14-day cooling-off right and why fresh food is excluded from it.

Training courses

Course places are limited and booked for a specific date.

• On-Farm Training costs €500. Booking takes a €200 deposit; the €300 balance is due 14 days before the start date. Your place isn’t confirmed until the balance is paid.
• Virtual Training costs €300, paid in full when you book.
• You can reschedule up to 14 days before your date. Bookings are non-refundable. The full position is in our returns policy.

Course materials and methods we share remain ours, and are for your own use, not for resale or redistribution.

Our content

The text, photographs and branding on this site belong to Inis Escargot. Please don’t reuse them commercially without asking. Asking is usually fine.

Accuracy

We try to describe and photograph everything honestly. Snails are a natural product, so size and appearance vary. Where a genuine error appears, in a price or a description, we reserve the right to correct it and to cancel and refund an affected order.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish law always apply.

Law

These terms are governed by Irish law and the courts of Ireland.
