Returns & refunds

If something isn’t right, email info@inisescargot.ie with your order number and we’ll sort it out.

If your order is faulty, damaged or wrong

This applies to everything we sell, with no time limit games. If what arrived is faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, tell us within 48 hours of delivery (a photo helps) and we will replace it or refund you in full, including delivery. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 are not affected by anything on this page.

Changing your mind, 14-day cooling-off

If you bought online as a consumer you generally have 14 days from delivery to change your mind, and another 14 days to send the goods back. This applies to our skincare and snail-farming kits.

Items must be unused and in their original, unopened packaging.
You pay the cost of returning the goods unless they were faulty or we sent the wrong thing.
We refund within 14 days of getting the goods back, to your original payment method.

Fresh snails are different, and the law says so

The 14-day cooling-off right does not apply to fresh escargot. Under Irish and EU consumer law, goods that can deteriorate or expire rapidly are excluded from the cooling-off right, and live and fresh food is exactly that. We cannot resell food once it has left the farm.

This does not affect your rights if the snails arrive in poor condition: if there is a problem with a fresh order, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will make it right.

Opened skincare

For hygiene reasons we cannot accept the return of skincare that has been opened or unsealed, unless it is faulty. Sealed, unopened items are covered by the 14-day right above.

Training courses

Courses run on a specific date, and places are limited, so the terms are different from the shop:

You can reschedule up to 14 days before your course date. Get in touch and we’ll move you to another date.
Course bookings are non-refundable. Inside the 14 days we’ve turned other people away and prepared for you, so the deposit and any balance paid are not returned.
On-Farm Training is €500 in total. You pay a €200 deposit to book, and the €300 balance is due 14 days before the start date.
Virtual Training is €300, paid in full when you book.

Course fees above exclude VAT. VAT at 23% is added to each payment and shown before you pay.

If we cancel or move a course date ourselves, you get a full refund, including anything you’ve already paid.

None of this removes any right you have by law as a consumer.

If we cancel

If we cancel an order or a course date for any reason, you get a full refund, including any delivery you paid.

How to return something

Email info@inisescargot.ie with your order number and what’s wrong.
We’ll confirm the return address and whether you need to send it back.
Once it arrives (or once we’ve seen the photos, for a damaged item) we refund you.
